Reality starts catching up with Fiala

A president, prime minister, general or other leader of a country that is fighting a war can, and must, publicly deny the possibility of defeat, but this doesn't apply to a leader of a country that isn't part of the fighting. These leaders must prepare their country for all possible outcomes, otherwise they can put their citizens in peril. The Czech Republic is taking in refugees and providing weapons and shells to Ukraine but has almost no impact on the outcome of the war. It is little more than an observer. Yet PM Petr Fiala told Deník on Oct. 31 (starting at 5:30m) that it isn't in Czech interest to prepare for the possibility of some form of Russian victory. Yesterday Fiala spoke by telephone with Donald Trump, who wants a quick end to the war. Czech security experts are already warning about the possibility of a very risky wave of soldiers seeking to reunite with their families. Plans for this would have already been made if Fiala had been acting for the past two years in the interest of his country.
