Černochová wants regime change in Iran
The Czech Republic's security policy from 2023 devotes a few sentences to Iran and says that the Islamic Republic has long been undermining regional stability by its aggressive campaign to expand its sphere of influence by military means. The Czech Republic's separate defense strategy from that same year doesn't mention Iran by name but says that the security of the CR is linked to the security and stability in Europe's neighborhood. Africa and the Middle East are affected by complex security problems, the document says, and there is a growing number of weak and failed states that are becoming breeding grounds for terrorist and criminal groups. Defense Min. Jana Černochová told Czech TV last night that the recent attacks on Iran by Israel and the U.S. are a huge opportunity for Iranians for there to be a change of regime in their country. It didn't seem to bother her at all that she openly called for the same kind of increased instability in the Middle East that her ministry has been warning about.
