ANO's role in the bitcoin scandal

Politically, STAN has been driving the bitcoin scandal of ODS much more than the opposition, but ANO is assisting in every way it can. On Czech TV last week, ANO Vice Chair Radek Vondráček said that he doesn't expect the ruling coalition to take political responsibility or to conduct a real investigation. "We'll probably have to wait until after the elections for that," he said. Moderator Martin Řezníček understood this as an attack on the police, which Vondráček vehemently denied. The political investigation at the justice ministry and the police investigation are two different things, Vondráček said. Řezníček then accused him repeatedly of not telling the truth about not having cast doubt on the police investigation. Yet what was so difficult for Řezníček to understand as a journalist is as clear as day politically. ANO has absolutely no reason whatsoever to criticize the police or Olomouc Senior State Prosecutor Radim Dragoun in the bitcoin matter. But if no charges are filed by the elections, this will change.
