Slovak for Czech president?

06.11.2014 - EB

The real Monika Babišová told MFD last year that she doesn't see much of a political future for her partner. He'd be happiest, she said, if he had capable people around him who were active in politics and with whom he could consult. The fake Monika said on Twitter this week that Andrej doesn't like effortless tasks and that Miloš is making her hubby's path to the Castle an easy one. He'll make a great PM and then an excellent president, the fake Monika said. This is funny because it's so close to what many people consider the reality. Wise people see through the Babiš veneer of hesitancy to seek power. As it stands now, Babiš is the only imaginable candidate with an equally good chance of winning a presidential election regardless of whether it is direct or indirect. When the "founding fathers" were drafting the Czech Constitution, it never occurred to them that a foreigner could become Czech president. When the Constitution is amended, Babiš's easy path to the Castle could be made considerably harder by adding the words "natural born" in the appropriate place.
