Donald Trump told a rally in Texas on Thur. that, "In everything we do, we're fighting for the faithful citizens of this country. This includes putting a stop to the catastrophic era of endless wars. Endless wars, they don't stop. They don't stop. They go on forever.... We've spent eight trillion dollars in the Middle East. Thousands of American soldiers have lost their lives.... These wars brought mass chaos, instability, destruction and death. Today we choose a different path." He then spoke about the way he resolved the Turkish-Kurdish conflict without spilling a single drop of American blood. "Sometimes you have to let them fight like two kids in a lot. You got to let them fight, and then you pull them apart." He had to use tough love against Turkish Pres. Erdogan by imposing sanctions, he said, but it worked. He explained this to Texans, who provide more soldiers to the U.S. military than any state other than California. To understand Trump, you must think like Trump.
