Roman Prymula's state of emergency
According to PM Andrej Babiš, 90% of the infected Czechs in quarantine because of covid-19 have no symptoms. According to Dir. Jaroslav Dušek of the ÚZIS Institute of Health Information and Statistics, 75-80% of new positive cases of the disease are of people with no symptoms or a light illness. According to Dir. Miloslav Ludvík of Motol Hospital, people with light or no symptoms probably can't infect anyone enough to get a person sick and merely serve to immunize the population. According to epidemiologist Roman Prymula, an ideal situation would be for 60% of the population to pick up the bug and thereby to create collective immunity. Prymula's comment came in April, when he was still promoting a nationwide prevalence test that ended up showing a rate of only 0.40%. Prymula is now the biggest supporter of another state of emergency so that businesses can be ordered to close. It's his way of punishing Czechs for testing positive without showing any symptoms.
