PES for readers

04.03.2021 - EB

The government's PES anti-epidemic system is dead, but it didn't live a completely useless life. It served the purpose of keeping the masses entertained or occupied for a few weeks, until the government could come up with something else to keep them occupied for a few weeks. Not even the underlying objective of PES was totally off the mark. The government needs a subjective counterweight to the overly restrictive Constitution and Bill of Rights for determining when to lock people down. PES is dead, but there is potential crossover for it into the non-governmental sphere. Readers, listeners and viewers of publications and programs are getting covid fatigue and don't always want to hear about the latest restrictions or the impact of covid on the next five generations. Each article or program could be color- and number-coded for the degree to which it addresses covid. Of course such a score wouldn't always accurately reflect the true situation, because if it did, it wouldn't be PES.
